they are having the worst week. guest -- host of this poll shows mitt romney being ahead six points -- host: this poll shows mitt romney ahead by six points in florida, another one showing obama up by five points. [laughter] guest: same weekend? there are two polling firms out there, that there have been real questions about. going back to the point that andrew made, you have to make an assumption that some point. is turnout going to be like it was in 2004? which was even between the parties? or will it be more like 2008, with seven points for the democrats? my preference is to look in between. but what the poll has been doing in particular is looking more at what it was in 2008, which political pollsters will tell you, it will not be at that point. it needs to be somewhere near where the republicans were in 2008. host: the annual crystal ball contest from "the washington post." jim cramer, predicting that mitt romney will get 98 electoral votes, the president, 440? he is the only one predicting a landslide for the president. guest: he is the only one predicting that. i am a democra

grudgingly supporting mitt romney and that is it. there are lots of -- there is a lot of talk about swing states, those numbers have been the same way. in colorado our latest polling shows barack obama down by four points. these numbers are moving in similar fashion across most of the states, with one big exception, ohio. in a high of the numbers show that it is 48-48. there is great enthusiasm from republican voters across the country. the democrats appear to have a stronger ground game and we are seeing that especially in ohio. before we get into all of that, we have two guests and they've both say they have said things they regret they have informed me that is not accurate. governor rendell is someone who speaks his mind freely on nbc and obviously served as governor of the great state of pennsylvania. i want to start by asking them about their home states. can mitt romney win? >> i would say yes the pennsylvania is in play. and i would say that it is probably the best bellwether of what happened over the last three weeks. the their campaign is particularly active in a pennsylvan

comment, which is really just a play off a comment that mitt romney made during the presidential debate, where he talks about his desire to hire a lot of women. and it's not helping him. i think that's reflected in the poll numbers because you're seeing right now romney is tied, or seems to have a kind of momentum moving into the time week. that's just what pollsters are saying. i think democrats feel that this will help particularly with women voters, because they make up the majority, and if they can kind of put forward this argument that mitt romney wants to take away somethings that are very important to them, then they can get the edge amongst that party leck rate. which in a very close election can be really critical. host: thank you both for being with us on this news maker for this sunday. >> watch our newsmakers with rande paul again today at 6:00 p.m. eastern on c-span. now watch our coverage of the presidential candidates, plus races from around the country. next on c-span, a third party presidential debate moderated by larry king, followed by the final presidential debate on

[laughter] he sure sounded converted, didn't he? i was wondering what happened to the mitt romney -- maybe casper, the family ghost of them. -- the friendly ghost took him. i don't know. as hard as they tried, they cannot run from the record. here is the truth. they had made it very clear they do not have the same view on women's rights as we do. on women's health, they want to turn the power back to the insurance company. back when they can charge wittman 50% more than men for the same policy. when they could label pregnancy pre-existing conditions. when the governor was asked at the second debate about how he felt abo
